Rota planning that matches your structure

Model your service exactly: groups, stations, watches and officer pools, all imported from your MusterHub directory. Plan a station week at a glance, drill into an hour-by-hour day view, and drag bookings to resize them. Repeating patterns cover everything from a classic 2-2-4 to 3-week and 8-week rotas, generated automatically every night.

Self-service for crew

On-call crew book themselves on and off call from any device, set a recurring weekly availability once, and see their upcoming shifts in a clean personal view. Every member can subscribe their phone or desktop calendar to a private feed, so shifts appear automatically and stay up to date.

One approvals inbox

Leave requests, shift swaps and overtime claims all land in a single Approvals page with a live count in the navigation. Approve or reject inline; conflicts, leave caps and rest rules are checked at the moment a request becomes real, not when it was asked.

Leave, TOIL and overtime that add up

Append-only leave and TOIL ledgers track every balance: accruals, carry-over, and automatic deductions the moment a booking is approved. Overtime claims flow from submission to approval to TOIL accrual without re-keying, and codes can be set to block bookings the balance cannot cover.

Crewing and coverage, live

Define what each appliance needs to ride: skills, minimum crew, reduced-crew bands. The rider board shows who is on right now, the deficit heatmap compares every station across the day with a per-appliance breakdown, and shift swaps are competency-checked before approval.

Compliance built in

Minimum rest rules and dual-contract buffers stop unsafe back-to-back bookings before they happen. Contract bands and a monthly hours reconciliation show contracted versus worked hours per person, and every change lands in an append-only audit trail with person and date filters.

Competency frameworks, an evidence journal with real sign-off, currency that manages itself, and e-learning tracking, all feeding directly into operational crewing.

A framework that matches your standards

Author competency areas, groups and individual requirements to mirror your own scheme, with links out to national guidance. Each requirement carries its own rigor: how many verified demonstrations, whether QA countersign is required, and how long it stays current. Bundle requirements into capability programmes such as BA Wearer or LGV Driver, composed per person, with auto-assignment rules for the baseline everyone holds.

An evidence journal built for real training

A running, append-only record of drills, incidents and CPD, presented as a monthly timeline. A floating capture button gets an entry logged in under thirty seconds, one exercise can count toward several requirements at once, and photos, video, audio and PDFs attach straight to the entry.

Sign-off with real separation of duties

Evidence lands in a verifier's queue, and requirements you flag also need a QA countersign from a different person. Nobody verifies their own work, the countersigner can never be the original verifier, and evidence is sealed the moment a decision is made. Authors are notified of every decision by push.

Currency that manages itself

Renewal windows count from when a skill was last demonstrated. People see what is expiring on their Today page and get push reminders at 28 days, 7 days and on lapse. When a new briefing package replaces an old one, mark it as a new version and everyone redoes it, with history kept.

Team readiness at a glance

A manager board with four tiles: requirements current, crew fully current, decisions waiting, expiring or lapsed. Flip between a per-person view and a per-skill heat map grouped by capability, and manage what each person holds with a simple tick-list.

Feeds Rota crewing automatically

Link a capability programme to a Rota rider skill and completion grants it overnight; a lapse revokes it. The competence your training records prove is the competence your crewing rules enforce, with no re-keying between modules. E-learning hosted elsewhere is tracked here with the same renewal windows.

MusterHub Command

An incident command console for control rooms and appliance-mounted tablets: live mobilisation, sector command structure, tasks and resource requests, and turn-by-turn routing to the incident. Not included in the base MusterHub platform price.

Vision and CAD integration

Incidents, attendance and updates flow in from your Vision/CAD system automatically, matched idempotently by external reference so a re-push never duplicates a row. A manual creation form covers the gap for anything raised outside Vision.

Sector command structure

Build the command structure as deep as the incident actually needs: sectors, a command unit, an incident commander, each with a person in charge. A graph-style tree on the appliance tablet shows crews exactly where they sit in it.

Tasks, resource requests and two-way messaging

Raise a task or a resource request from the control room or the fireground, assign it to a person or an appliance, and track it through acknowledged, completed or declined. Every reply lands as a threaded message in the same incident timeline, not a separate inbox.

Tiered operator roles

Control Room and Command Support cover the day-to-day: raising incidents, pushing updates, managing attendance. Closing or cancelling an incident, restructuring the command tree, and granting other operators is reserved for an Incident Commander.

Live map and turn-by-turn routing

The appliance tablet computes a route to the incident that respects the vehicle's own profile, with turn-by-turn instructions and heading-up navigation once a crew is committed, plus a live geofence that flags arrival automatically.

A full incident record, exported

Attendance, tasks and the complete timeline export to a clean printable report in one click, for a debrief pack or an incident file, no separate reporting tool required.
